Dr. Chunmei Liu won the 2009 NSF CAREER award for her project titled "CAREER: A Complete System for Protein Identification with Computational Approaches". It is awarded under the Algorithmic Foundation program of the Division of the Computing and Communication Foundations. The total amount of the award grant is $400,000 for three years. The NSF CAREER award is the most prestigious award in support of top-performing junior faculty who are their early careers and are “most likely to become the academic leaders of the 21st century.”
